OBC Cell has been set up in the college to ensure proper implementation of various schemes of UGC, Government of India and State Govt. concerning scholarships, stipends etc. for the welfare of reserved categories. OBC Cell has been created in the college to resolve all the affairs and problems related to the OBC Students of the college, to make aware the OBC students regarding various scholarships program of State Government and UGC, to take such follow up measures for achieving the objectives and targets laid down for the purpose by the Government of India and the UGC. 

Vision To oversees the effective implementation of policies and programmes for the socially reserved groups and to act as source of strength by providing financial assistance in order to achieve equality and social justice. 

Mision To improve the performance, provide guidelines and counselling with respect to academic, financial, social and other matters to socially reserved groups. To provide opportunity and facilitation to the socially reserved groups for learning and creating space for them to mainstream themselves. 

Objectives: • To ensure equal opportunities for the education of OBC students • Ensure reservation norms in the admission of students and in the appointments of teaching and non-teaching staff. • Maintain social relationships among the admitted students in the college and resolve issues, grievances, representations etc. Roles and Responsibilities • The Reservation OBC Cell will monitor and endeavour to resolve issues, grievances related to all reservation candidates and staff at the Institute level. • The OBC Cell will monitor and endeavour to resolve issues, grievances relating to OBC Staff . • The said Committee/Cell will look into the complaint and call the concerned complainant personally for hearing the grievance. • The cell will monitor and inform the various facilities available to the students. • The cell will conduct seminars and workshops to build the self confidence and awareness of the various schemes 

The Institution has established Other Backward community cell in the year of 2019. The IQAC has re-constituted OBC and elected convener, faculty members through the notification REF.NO.SEAD/2351/2021 dated on 02nd June 2021 in IQAC Governing Body meeting which was held on 02nd June 2021 at Principal office of S.E.A College of Science, Commerce and Arts,
