B.SC CHEMISTRY

The aim of B.Sc. Chemistry course is to develop an ability to observe, to analyze and to interpret objectively and to make rational decisions and to solve problems involving chemistry. The main aim is an understanding of the concepts and theories in chemistry and appreciation of the applications of chemistry in daily life.

Objective

  • To engage the students in problem-solving activities that require analysis, synthesis, and evaluation as a means of testing and strengthening their developing knowledge.
  • To apply standard laboratory techniques to carry out quantitative analysis, chemical synthesis, characterization of compounds, and measurement of chemical reactivity.
  • To provide students with the skills required to succeed in graduate level, the chemical industry, or research field.
  • To expose the students to a breadth of experimental techniques using modern instrumentation.
